Happy New Year on this 2nd day of 2013....

The daily routine is back for most of you, as some of you know I am looking for a job and now have one year left of my unemployment benefit (we have 2 years of unemployment benefit here in Denmark), which means this year is rather a "touch and go" for me, as after 31st of December 2013, let's just say I won't start thinking about it just yet. So todays photos are both from today's walk as well a few from last week between Christmas and New years Eve. 

As said I'm unemployed and thus some would say I have waayy plenty time on my hands, but trust me I'd rather work. It takes a lot of energy not focusing on what I can't do and have to push away for now, when I see news, tidbits from friends, don't get me wrong I love to see and hear what happens around me, it reminds me there is life out there and it is just not all about crisis, jobcenter/ union control, no job etc etc, you get my drift....


So my photos tody is a reminder for me about life out there and the time I have to use as best I can, both to get a job and not fall apart admist it all....

To this last photo which I saw on my walk today in the late afternoon as the sun was setting behind me, it reminded me of a poem I've read way back - like half a lifetime ago'ish - and I feel it is fitting for this photo... the poem is by Robert Frost and called "Nothing gold can stay":

"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold,
Her early leaf's a flower,
But only so an hour.

 Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day,
Nothing gold can stay"

Last year I went to Copenhagen Medieval marked, where you can see vikings, knights and battles. I took some photos and have been slow in getting them done, due to new job. Game of Thrones - The Hall of faces exhibition

Friday May 6th 2016, Game of Thrones - The Hall of faces stopped by Copenhagen, Denmark for 4 days show - on the day before the opening, there was a VIP event where Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and USA ambassador to Denmark Rufus Gifford with family stopped by. There was even knights and some fans dressed up as character from the show, like Jon Snow with Ygritte and... one Jaime Lannister, which garned a rather throughout lookover from Nikolaj, which caused a good laugh among the fans. Even more when Nikolaj stopped shortly and talked with the 3 knights, who were in full amour - we are talking real amour here - and Nikolaj couldn't help but take off an helmet, both to admire it but also talking about how heavy the amour is in real life - note: these guys do it for real at shows, so don't try this at home, neither with the flames, as the ladies there know what they are doing. "The Danish Girl" in Copenhagen, Denmark....

So a long while back this year, the filming of the movie "The Danish Girl" took place in Copenhagen, Denmark and I found them filming in a very popular area. At a place called Nyhavn, where not only a lot of Danish people go to during summer time, but also a lot of turist will walk around this area. The only minus on those two days I watched and took photos from the filming was, it was rather cold and dull, yet a bit of sun would shine through. So a lot of respect not only for the crew, actors but also the extras providing as background for the actorts... It was really a treat to see a very large area of Nyhavn transformed into an older Copenhagen harbour as well the customes the extras wore. I was to be an extra in this movie but was not chosen, so I was happy to see the filming and take photos instead.
