Summer on short visit....

Image
So the past few days (Monday till Friday) the weather have been really warm, sunny and just had me taking my bike to the beach every day. It was nice for an change as the weather this weekend once more have changed and dropped like 10 degrees/about 15 fahrenheits..... I hope I don't catch a cold from it. Sometimes I take a detour on my way home and you can be lucky to see this  upclose, if you know where to look....

Law and order: Special Victims Unit

Right, think it will be first time I post something entirely different here on my blog. But the past few weeks I've been working on this SVU project as I called it. I watch the show for many reasons and one of them is the lead female actress Mariska Hargitay, who portrays the role of "Olivia Benson" and have done it for solid 13 years, just started filming on season 14 today. A while back when I read about the Emmy's and saw both Mariska Hargitay and Danny Pino were in for nominations but sadly didn't make the cut in the run for the Emmy this September. So I thought I would make an mini Emmy poster with Mariska Hargitay's role throughout those 13 years. In hindsight, plan in advance of the days if not a few weeks to go through the screen caps. I contacted the Mariska-online.com for permission to use their screen caps as there was no way in time I would make it through all 13 season of SVU, plus if  you go to their webpage and see just how many screen caps

A sunny visit from a Wimbledon men's double winner....

Image
So when I read in the local news paper Tuesday that the newly Men's double 2012 Wimbledon winner Frederik F. Nielsen would stop by the local city hall today, I just had to stop by. How often do you get the chance to meet a winner of this game? Even with the fact that Frederik is the first Dane to ever make it to the finals with his British tennis partner Jonathan Marray. And what a final, almost 3 hours before they could cheer for winning the game. Afterwards when I saw interview and read a bit about Frederik, it was refreshing to see a person who cared more for the game he played than the fame that followed. Sure it will make life easier on the tennis part, I hope there will be more great tennis adventure out there for Frederik. All the while the congratulations took place at the local city hall, Frederik was humbled by the attention - which he in interviews have said was a bit too much at times - so it was a good thing that he knew quite a few of the people at the local city ha

Jazz Festival 2011

Image
OK, so I am waaaayyyy overdue and way behind with those photos - too long to mention etc etc.... - but last year I read on twitter that the Danish singer and actress Szhirley were going to be onstage with another great Jazz musician. It was one of those kinda typical Danish weather were you weren't too sure if it would hold off the rain and yet it was not that cold either. Plus I got curiously when Szhirley encouraged to come in there.... and I don't regret that for one moment. Chris Minh-Doky surprised me with his jazz music and Szhirley came on stage for one song. Here are a few photos from then.....

Busy time and time to enjoy.....

Busy, busy..... sometimes times just catch up on me and have me busy editing photos so much I just loose track of times now and then. And on a good sunny day like today it is too good to be sitting inside and edit those photos - I was at a meeting most the day, but still managed to get some sun still..... and used my morning to get the last photos I needed to do, so I should be almost upfront now....  a week ago I was with this photoclub and I finially had some photos from that day done..... lets just say we had a good day there..... "Circle of life" I don't drink beer, but on a hot summer day I do know it taste good....
