Gala opening of Insurgent in Copenhagen, Denmark with actors Shailene Woodley and Theo James

Wednesday 12th March, actors Shailene Woodley and Theo James stopped by a very chilly yet sunny Copenhagen (hopefully they did get to see a little bit of Denmark in the hectic press day at the hotel), Denmark on the movie "Insurgent" press tour, movie was shown a week before opening dates in Denmark. Needless to say the cinema was sold out within 10 minutes (popular by demand).
Usually I write a bit more about the whole deal itself, all I'm going to say: they came, they smiled, they signed, they answered a few questions and off they were.... even the Danish Prime minister had found her way to the cinema to greet the actors before the movie started.

Sadly I had to give up watching the movie, as I sat on 2nd front row and the movie was shown in 3D, which is first time I got dizzy seeing it this up close....


All I'm going to say before photos: yes the watermarks is there for a reason, email me if you want permission to use any of these photos elsewhere....

I will mention that I had blissfully forgotten just how loud fans can be, when the stars arrives at the cinema. We could see the process was walking slowly and were waiting for them to come up to 1st floor only to see them move very fast past us. It happens, some fans in the area were dissapointed, but looking at the clock, schedule was running a bit behind, so into the cinema itself it went after the one photo I got of Theo in the rush passing by, which is why it is blurred...

While being introduced and welcomed, both Theo and Shailene were waiting by the door, a bit curiously looking where they could for the people in front of them.....

Game of Thrones - The Hall of faces exhibition

Friday May 6th 2016, Game of Thrones - The Hall of faces stopped by Copenhagen, Denmark for 4 days show - on the day before the opening, there was a VIP event where Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and USA ambassador to Denmark Rufus Gifford with family stopped by. There was even knights and some fans dressed up as character from the show, like Jon Snow with Ygritte and... one Jaime Lannister, which garned a rather throughout lookover from Nikolaj, which caused a good laugh among the fans. Even more when Nikolaj stopped shortly and talked with the 3 knights, who were in full amour - we are talking real amour here - and Nikolaj couldn't help but take off an helmet, both to admire it but also talking about how heavy the amour is in real life - note: these guys do it for real at shows, so don't try this at home, neither with the flames, as the ladies there know what they are doing. "The Danish Girl" in Copenhagen, Denmark....

So a long while back this year, the filming of the movie "The Danish Girl" took place in Copenhagen, Denmark and I found them filming in a very popular area. At a place called Nyhavn, where not only a lot of Danish people go to during summer time, but also a lot of turist will walk around this area. The only minus on those two days I watched and took photos from the filming was, it was rather cold and dull, yet a bit of sun would shine through. So a lot of respect not only for the crew, actors but also the extras providing as background for the actorts... It was really a treat to see a very large area of Nyhavn transformed into an older Copenhagen harbour as well the customes the extras wore. I was to be an extra in this movie but was not chosen, so I was happy to see the filming and take photos instead.
