PHOTOFANTASTIC

Every year Tivoli - a fair in Copenhagen - has unknown, young bands/singers playing around in there, this year it was with 45 bands over 2 days. I went to hear Karl William, since he is "family" and yet it was my first time hearing him live as well his music. I was surprised to say the least.... I do look forward to see his road on music the coming years.....  he is in fact up for an award here, so give a hand help him on the way to what he likes the best to do..... I have to be honest, I knew about this band of name, but have never heard them before, so when I saw they were playing in Tivoli a week ago, I lined up and both got to hear their music and got some different kind of photos I haven't done in a long while. Rather challenging on my side I might add. Mostly it was the light setting which gave me the challenges... the band gave a good performance (hey it was my first time seeing them...)... Here some of the photos from the concert... you may notice most of them are of the bassist, since he was on my side of the stage most of the time.... A little detour from my New York photos... Friday evening the American band 30 Seconds to Mars gave their only concert in Denmark, in Tivoli, Copenhagen. I have to admit I had never heard them before, I only knew of Jared Leto from his acting career (my bad....). While waiting for the concert to start, I was a tad worried about the weather as it had been forecasted some rain would come a few hours before the concert started. What happens? 15 minutes before the concert starts it pours down. However the crowd just pulled up their hood and stayed to hear the concert.  And just as the band got on stage it stopped raining, it was still windy. However there was nothing to worry about. The energy alone from the band spoke volumen and held all the way through the concert I'm sure. Sadly due to some malfunctions on my camera (which is in for repair....), low battery as well memory card was used up rather quickly, I didn't stay till the end of the concert. December 20th was skipped as I had a slow day, so today I took some time to go outside and enjoy the good sunny weather and very cold as well... bbrrr... As I strolled around the street of city centre of Copenhagen, I couldn't help but notice people walking around to find the last Christmas gift, or go for a cafe late, meeting friends, or like me just walking around enjoying the city. Before I left Copenhagen and get back home to get some warmth back, I stopped by this fair called Tivoli, which is pretty much right in the center of Copenhagen, next to the main train station as well (makes it fairly easy to get back home afterwards as well....).  Usually you go into Tivoli doing the summer season, but the past few many years Tivoli have been open throughout December wtih the theme of winter and Christmas, you get the idea. Sometimes they change the theme every now and then every year or like this time they've kept it as it was last year I believe. It is something to be seen
